Rules

a. Out of Character Chat

I. Rudeness of any kind for a specific person or type of person (i.e. skin color, age, religion, sexuality), is prohibited, and will result in one-day suspension from the site.
II. Profanity is to be kept a minimum, no question. Overuse will result in consequences determined by an administrator.
III. No threatening, for the first threat you get an hour ban, for every following it is 3 hours.
IV. Advertising is only for the advertising board, nowhere else.
V. The site is rated PG13, swearing should be kept in moderation. Sex scenes and detailed gore is forbidden, but may be role-played through PMs.
VI. We (the admins) expect to see our members keep a peaceful community. Fighting should be private, not public.
VII. Staff reserve the right to remove or edit any post that is deemed offensive or innapropriate.
VIII. Impersonation and the like, (lying is included) is prohibited, and will result in serious consequences.

b. Character Creation

I. All characters to be used in role play should have an application submitted and accepted.
II. All applications must have the codeword, Affluence, but not really because the real codeword is somewhere else in the rules.
III. No Mary Sues (perfect characters) will be accepted.
IV. This site does not use canons, therefore, you may not create a canon or somewhere with any link to canon character. We are assuming a time many years before Tris, even Marcus.
V. You may claim a celebrity to play your character in the Face Claim thread. If someone has a face claim you want, talk to them and try to work something out, though we do not recommend overuse of the twin strategy.
VI. You may have as many characters as you want, as long as you can keep them active. We will not have a gender cap unless the situation gets out of hand, but please do try to make a few of each gender.
VII. Not every character can be a poor abused orphan who never really found their place in the world and does not fit into their faction.
VIII. Divergent characters may only have TWO

[/url] factions. To have more, you must first send a PM to Pond (username: admin) so she can post on the thread verifying you may have more than two factions. Same goes for the less-than-ten fears.[/blockquote]

c. Roleplay

I. This site is open for any type of roleplayer, though we do ask each post is at least 100 words.
II. Be considerate of the person you are roleplaying with. If they average 200 words, and you average 1000, try to help them out or shorten your posts. If you don't think you can handle it, talk to them about ditching the thread.
III. We expect members to have at least basic knowlege of grammar and spelling. PM Pond if you need help of any kind.
IV. Powerplaying, godmodding, and the like are prohibited.
V. The site may see some major plots, some are a choice to partake in, some are mandatory.

d. Staff and Member Rankings

I. The staff positions are Administrator, Global Moderator, Moderator, and Advertiser.
II. The administrators will decide who will be a staff member, though sometimes we may ask for volunteers. If we find no one to volunteer that is qualified we may go without the position.
III. Asking to be staff puts you at risk of never becoming staff.
IV. Abuse of staff power results in demotion, or suspension.
V. Members receive their rankings based on how often they post, although they may decrease with spam posting or extremely lousy posting. Ranking may increase for certain achievements.
